CommunityOne was founded as a charity in Cardiff, Wales and registered with the UK Charity Commission in 2006 by Brad Hamilton. Brad moved his family from the United States (Texas) in 2006 to Cardiff. He was interested in starting a new work that could give back to society and impact the culture for transformational change.

CommunityOne is a non-political, non-religious organisation that offers its services regardless of race, creed, religion, or political persuasion.

CommunityOne envisions a transformed community from within. It envisions a community where like minded individuals and groups partner together to reach the disadvantaged segments of the population.

The goal of CommunityOne is very simple: to impact the local community with positive change through the individual. That is, we believe that to transform the culture for good, and for lasting transformation, that the focus of that transformation must take place in the individual. Through the transformation of the individual the culture can be changed for good. CommunityOne has partnered with local organisations to see positive change occur in the lives of the individuals we work with.

CommunityOne’s philosophy to impact the community through the individual is based on the following values:

• Solutions that are transferable throughout the community one individual at a time.
• Initiatives that will benefit the community, but empower the individual.
